Braided Mane
Braided Manes,(BotW | TotK)[1][2] also known as Manes of Honeycomb Plaits,(TotK)[3] are recurring Objects in The Legend of Zelda series.
Location and Uses
Breath of the Wild
Braided Manes are a type of Mane that can be equipped to Horses at Highland Stable, Outskirt Stable, South Akkala Stable, and Woodland Stable. These Manes, like others, are unable to be equipped by Epona or the Giant Horse.[4][5]
Tears of the Kingdom
Braided Manes return in Tears of the Kingdom. After collecting 16 Pony Points, Link unlocks the Mane-Restyling Service from Stables, which allows him to have his Horses' Manes changed.[6][7] As is the case with other Manes, they cannot be equipped to Epona, the Giant Horse, or the Giant White Stallion.[8][9] The Braided Mane is the default Mane of the Golden Horse, having been styled by Zelda herself.[3]
