Hyrule Compendium Entry
Bright-Eyed Crabs can be found on freshwater shores in the Lanayru Great Spring and Eldin Canyon. Many of them live in the area surrounding Ne'ez Yohma Shrine in Zora's Domain. They are also sold by the traveling Merchants Chumin and Bugut.
Eating a Bright-Eyed Crab raw will restore one of Link's Hearts. They can also be roasted by a Fire to make Blackened Crab or chilled by Ice to make Frozen Crab. Cooking one in a Cooking Pot will result in a meal with Stamina-restoring effects.[1]

Trivia
- According to Beedle, Bright-Eyed Crabs can be Cooked along with Monster Parts to create an Elixir that recovers Stamina.[4] However, this is incorrect as Bright-Eyed Crabs do not count as "critters" and will produce Dubious Food when combined with Monster Parts.
