Bucket Mouse is a character in Link's Awakening.[1][2]

Biography

The Bucket Mouse is the being answering the phone located in Old Man Ulrira's House. When called, the Bucket Mouse introduces themself and hangs up immediately after thanking Link for calling,[2] confusing him.[3]

Trivia

  • In Link's Awakening for Nintendo Switch, the Bucket Mouse's dialogue is labeled as belonging to "???", even if Link has called the phone before.[4]
  • In the French Canadian version, the Bucket Mouse is replaced by Madonna. She speaks to Link in French with an English accent.[5]

Nomenclature

Bucket Mouse is a mistranslation of "Bucketmouth", a real fishing shop located in Neyagawa, Osaka in Japan.[6]
