Location and Uses
Smoothie Shops can make Cactus Smoothies by mixing a Chilly Cactus with either another Chilly Cactus, a Riverhorse, Floral Nectar, or a Twisted Pumpkin. Doing so costs Princess Zelda 10 Rupees. Alternatively, she can have a Cactus Smoothie made without using any of her Ingredients by paying 100 Rupees.[2] When Zelda drinks these Smoothies, two Hearts will be restored to her Life Gauge, and she will gain the Fire-Proof Added Effect for one minute.[1] They can also be sold for 25 Rupees.[3] Cactus Smoothies have a crunchy texture and a sweet and tart flavor.[1]
At the beginning of the Main Quest "Southern Gerudo Desert Rift", Zelda and Dohna discover a group of three Gerudo Soldiers in the Southern Gerudo Desert who are tired and dehydrated.[4] Realizing that they need to drink something, Dohna gives Zelda two Chilly Cacti, requesting that she go to the Smoothie Shop at the Oasis and make a Cactus Smoothie.[5] When Zelda returns with the Smoothie, Dohna will split it among the Gerudo Soldiers.[6] As a result of drinking it, the Gerudo Soldiers regain their strength and are able to return to their patrols.[7]
