Cobal
Cobal is a character in Skyward Sword.[2]
Biography
Cobal is a green-haired Mogma who frequently accompanies Ledd. He can first be found shortly after Link arrives at Eldin Volcano with Ledd. He expresses surprise to Ledd that Link is not a Bokoblin.[3]
He can then be found talking to Ledd outside of the Earth Temple about getting the inside to obtain the Treasure hidden within.[4] After discussing where the Key to the Temple is hidden, Cobal points out that they could just simply dig their way into the Temple.[5]
Link will shortly encounter Cobal again in the Earth Temple regretting his journey after Ledd has gone missing.[6] He warns Link that he should go home if he wants to live.[7]
The last place Link can encounter Cobal is within the Caves deep beneath Eldin Volcano. He can be found in the room full of Pyrups near a bombable wall. When talked to, Cobal will encourage Link to search for Rupees in the Caves.[8] After he finishes talking, Fi will unlock Rupee Dowsing for Link.[9]
Nomenclature
Cobal's name is derived from the metal cobalt.
