Description
This breed of maraudo wolf lives in snowy, mountainous areas, such as the Hebra Mountains. They travel in packs similar to their maraudo relatives but are considerably tougher thanks to having adapted to their harsh environment. They're made even more dangerous by their white fur, which provides a natural camouflage in the snow.

Cold-Footed Wolves are a breed of Maraudo Wolf that have adapted to Freezing Climates in Hyrule Kingdom.[3] They are most commonly found in packs on the Hebra Mountains and Gerudo Highlands, but they are also present on the Tabantha Tundra and Mount Lanayru.[3] They can be distinguished from other Wolves through their unique white fur, which serves as camouflage in their alpine habitat.[3]

Cold-Footed Wolves are highly social animals that are never encountered alone, averaging at three individuals per pack.[3] When idle, Cold-Footed Wolves can be seen sniffing the ground and stretching their bodies. However, if a Wolf spots Link, it will howl to alert its pack members and give chase. Once Link has been cornered, the Wolves will encircle him and take turns charging at him with snapping jaws, inflicting damage on contact. However, they will disband and retreat if one is injured or killed, and they will not try to attack Link if he is riding a Horse. Killing a Cold-Footed Wolf produces either Raw Prime Meat or Raw Gourmet Meat.

Trivia

  • Cold-Footed Wolves resemble and are likely based on the Arctic wolf, a large white wolf of the northern tundra that hunts in packs.
