Compass of Light
The Compass of Light is an item in Spirit Tracks.[1]
Location and Uses
The Compass of Light is found beneath the altar of the Tower of Spirits. It is a special golden compass that uses the power of the Spirits of Good and has the ability to track the location of the Demon Train. Since Chancellor Cole didn't know where to find the Demon Train, he tricked Byrne into making this special compass to find the Demon Train in the Dark Realm and thus be able to free Malladus from his imprisonment.[2]
When Anjean reveals she does not know where Malladus could be after his escape with Cole to the Dark Realm via the Demon Train, Byrne reveals that there is a special set of tracks located beneath the altar of the Tower of Spirits that leads to the Compass of Light.[3] As it uses the power of the spirits, neither Cole nor Malladus can touch the Compass of Light.[4]
Once obtained, the Compass of Light reveals the tracks leading into the Dark Realm, which are located just west of Aboda Village in the Forest Realm. This enables Link and Princess Zelda to go after Cole and Malladus for a final confrontation to restore Zelda to her body and destroy the villains.
