Breath of the Wild

Breath of the Wild's Credits play after Link reunites with Princess Zelda on Windvane Meadow once Calamity Ganon has been sealed. Images are shown alongside the Credits, which depict scenery from across Hyrule and people that Link met while reclaiming the Divine Beasts.

In the post-Credits scene, Zelda and Link look up at Hyrule Castle from outside of its Gates. After sharing a look with each other, the two of them begin to walk away. From the Sanctum, the Spirits of King Rhoam, Mipha, Daruk, Revali, and Urbosa look down on them before disappearing. When they do so, Link and Zelda turn around, and Silent Princess petals begin drifting by.

If Link has found all 12 Recovered Memories related to the Main Quest "Captured Memories", a second post-Credits scene will play. In it, Link and Zelda are standing on Sahasra Slope as their Horses graze nearby. Zelda voices her plan to visit Zora's Domain, as Divine Beast Vah Ruta has stopped working.[1] She also wishes to visit King Dorephan to offer him closure for Mipha.[2] She comments on how much work it will take to restore Hyrule, but she believes it can be achieved if everyone works together.[3] She declares that they should leave and begins walking toward their Horses.[4] Suddenly, Zelda stops, and she admits that she can no longer hear the voice within the Master Sword.[5] While she believes her holy power may have dwindled, she smiles and reveals that she can accept it.[6]

Tears of the Kingdom

In Tears of the Kingdom, the Credits play following Link and Princess Zelda's reunion on the Surface after she is restored from being the Light Dragon. During the Credits, images of Link's friends and their journeys together appear.

If Link has completed the Main Quest "Find the Fifth Sage" and reawakened Mineru as the Sage of Spirit, a post-Credits scene will play. In it, Mineru's Spirit abandons her Construct and shows Link, Zelda, Purah, Tulin, Yunobo, Sidon, and Riju through the Temple of Time. Purah is impressed that the Great Sky Island is able to float in the Sky.[7] When they reach the platform behind the Temple, Mineru reveals that she wanted to show them the view of Hyrule.[8] Yunobo comments that he has never been at such a high elevation.[9] Riju enjoys the sight before asking Zelda if it was true she was in the Sky the whole time.[10] Zelda confirms this, though she admits she does not remember her time as the Light Dragon.[11] Zelda also reveals that she never thought she would return to the Temple of Time, and Mineru theorizes that Rauru and Sonia channeled their powers through Link in order to restore her.[12]

Suddenly, Mineru begins to disappear, and she declares it is time for her to leave.[13] Zelda is saddened by this, but Mineru assures her that with Demon King Ganondorf defeated, they no longer need her.[14] She is eager to join Rauru and her other departed friends, trusting Zelda to keep the world safe.[15] Tulin comes up with an idea and nods to the other Sages. They stand alongside Link, and while they stumble over their words at one point, they swear a vow of loyalty to Zelda and Hyrule.[16] Zelda is reminded of the vow she and their ancestors made to Rauru. Mineru believes that Rauru and Sonia will be pleased.[17] Zelda is still upset, so Mineru promises to tell them how much she cares.[18] Zelda smiles, and Mineru looks over the group one last time and thanks them before fading away.[19] Zelda reflects on Rauru, Sonia, Mineru, and the ancient Sages' desire to bring peace to Hyrule.[20] She decides to dedicate herself to this effort as well, and she invites her friends to join her.[21]
