The Dah Kaso Shrine,[1] designated by the Trial name A Minor Test of Strength,[1] is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild.

Entrance to the Shrine

Dah Kaso Shrine is located in Hyrule Field underneath the Digdogg Suspension Bridge. As Link enters the Ancient Shrine, he is greeted by its Monk, Dah Kaso.[2]

Themes and Navigation

Dah Kaso Shrine features a large, central chamber which acts as an arena. As Link approaches the center of the arena, a Guardian Scout II wielding a Guardian Spear will rise from a pit to challenge him.

In order to reach the Monk's Pedestal, Link must defeat the Guardian Scout II. Doing this will cause the portcullis in the back of the chamber to rise. When Link approaches Dah Kaso, the Monk will give him a Spirit Orb for overcoming the Trial.[3] Afterwards, Dah Kaso wishes Link well and fades away.[4]

There is a stone Treasure Chest behind the portcullis. Inside, Link can recover an Ancient Core.
