Biography
Majora's Mask
The Deku Princess is the heiress to the Terminan Deku throne. She resides in the Deku Palace with her father, the Deku King.
Upon seeing the Southern Swamp filling with poisonous water, she headed to the Woodfall Temple with her friend, the Foolish Monkey. However, she was captured by Odolwa and put into a room near the entrance of the temple.[5] When her absence is noticed, her father accuses the Monkey of abducting her, and imprisons him with the intent of punishing him.[6]
Eventually, Link gains access to the temple and defeats Odolwa. He finds the Deku Princess in a chamber near the temple's exit and rescues her, returning her to the Deku Palace by temporarily storing her in a Bottle.[7] When the Princess realizes what her father has done to the Monkey, she is furious. Upon returning to the palace, she demands the Monkey's immediate release.[8] She apologizes to the Monkey for her father's hasty decision and,[9] as a sign of gratitude to Link, shows him the way to the Deku Shrine to receive his reward on behalf of the Deku tribe.[10] The Deku Princess is last seen during the ending credits alongside the Deku King, the Monkey, and the palace guards.

In Cadence of Hyrule, the Deku Princess is a minor character who can be found in Deku Village in the Future World in the Symphony of the Mask Downloadable Content pack. When first greeted, she will ask if the heroes have met her father, Deku King, who she describes as overprotective but ultimately well-meaning.[3] She then comments that she is studying the Hylian language and diplomacy at her father's urging, as preparation for when she takes over as queen. With Ganon ruling from Hyrule Castle, however, she worries that her studies will be for nothing.[11] If the heroes speak to her again, they will ask her if she would fit in a Bottle, which she takes offense to.[12] She is particularly fond of the Deku Shooting Gallery run by the Deku Butler, having once managed to knock down every target.[1]
Trivia
- Several sounds that the Deku Princess makes in the Japanese 1.0 and 1.1 versions were omitted from the American release for unknown reasons. These sounds are restored in Collector's Edition and Majora's Mask 3D.[13]
- While the Deku Princess herself does not appear, her clothing can be unlocked and worn by the Companion Fairies in Hyrule Warriors Legends and Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition.
