Din's Sanction is a Key Item. It is a mystical sanction granted by the Golden Goddess Din only to those who prove their power.[1] After Princess Zelda defeats Volvagia in the Eldin Temple, the Goddess speaks to Zelda. Din thanks Zelda for cleansing Eldin Volcano of the Rifts that blighted it, and then introduces herself.[2] As reward for the Princess demonstrating true power, she bestows upon Zelda her Sanction, claiming that it extols her deeds.[3] The Goddess explains to Zelda that the path to the Prime Energy will open for her once she receives all three of the Goddesses' blessings.[4] Din reminds the Princess of how many Goddesses are left to seek out and asks her to remember that eventually her power will be her salvation, before her voice disappears.[5]
