The Dojo is a location in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.[name references needed]

Features and Overview

The Dojo is a facility that is operated by several Master Spirits including Darunia. The Dojo is only accessible after a Master Spirit who can operate it has been obtained.[1] Afterwards, the Dojo can be accessed from its location in the World of Light or from the Activities section of the Collection Screen sub-menu in the Spirits menu.

Spirits who are entered into the Dojo can learn a Style from a Master Spirit.[2] The Style taught reflect qualities of their respective Master Spirits. Darunia's Dojo teaches the Boulder Style to Spirits, increasing Defense and Move Speed but decreasing Offense and Jump. Spirits may alternatively visit a Dojo to remove any Style taught to them.[3]

Once a Spirit has been entered into a Dojo, it will train over a period of time. After that period of time is up, the Spirit will possess a new Style that can be used in battles. A Spirit can also be taken out of the Dojo preemptively.[4] Once a Spirit has been entered into a Dojo, it will require a cooldown period for it to rest,[5] even if it has not learned any Style or gained any experience while in the Dojo. In exchange for Spirit Point, Darunia can immediately teach the Boulder Style to Spirits.[6]
