Origin of the Name
The origin of the Dragon's Blood tree's name is unknown. At one time, the water from the surrounding mountains flowed into a network of rivers on this plateau. Perhaps the water itself was likened to bleeding—the network of blood vessels, and over time, it came to be associated with dragons. Thus, the current name.

Dragon's Bloods are a type of Tree found growing on Hyrule Ridge. They are tall, slender Trees with branch clusters near their tops that form broad, flat surfaces. Smaller Dragon's Bloods can be knocked down like normal Tree, forming Logs that consist only of their trunks. In the Voice Memory "Origin of the Name", Princess Zelda speculates that the Dragon's Blood name comes from combining the area's associations with blood and Dragons.[1]

Kass's Journal can be found inside a House atop a Dragon's Blood Tree at Washa's Bluff.

Tears of the Kingdom

Dragon's Bloods surround the Seres Scablands and now grow on top of the Thundra Plateau. They are necessary to solve one of Misko's riddles, which refers to them as "mushroom trees".[2]
