Dragon's Tear
Dragon's Tears,[1] also known as Tears of the Dragon,[2] are Objects in Tears of the Kingdom.
Location and Uses
When Zelda transformed into the Light Dragon, she shed 11 Dragon's Tears as she flew into the Sky.[3] The ancient people of Hyrule drew the Geoglyphs around the Tears, which depict images they saw in their respective Memories.[1][4] After the Upheaval began, the Dragon's Tears and their respective Geoglyphs once again became visible.[5]
During the "Impa and the Geoglyphs" Main Quest, Impa shares legends about Dragon's Tears with Link.[1] She encourages Link to try to find the Dragon's Tear that corresponds with the Geoglyph on North Hyrule Plain, believing it could help them locate Zelda.[1] When Link approaches the Dragon's Tear on the Geoglyph's eye, Recall will activate, which reverses the Tear's descent and shows him the "Where Am I?" Memory. After viewing the Memory, the Tear dissipates.
Upon hearing that the Dragon's Tear showed Link a vision of Zelda, Impa believes that they should continue to investigate Dragon's Tears and Geoglyphs.[6] As part of "The Dragon's Tears" Main Quest, Link is tasked with finding the remaining 10 Geoglyphs and viewing their respective Memories.[7][8] Once Link has found all 11 Dragon's Tears, he will hear a roar from the Light Dragon from above him, who sheds a new Dragon's Tear that lands on Rist Peninsula.[9] From this Tear, Link will be able to view the "Tears of the Dragon" Memory.

You know, I read something in the village's old literature—a passage about what the ancients called Dragon's Tears. "Where the Tears rest upon the earth, we marked down the images to which they gave birth." I believe this geoglyph is one such "image." But even from this vantage, its meaning is no clearer to me. Nor can I figure out what "Dragon's Tears" might be. But you know...if the literature is correct, one of them should be quite close—near the geoglyph, or even within its borders. Would you look around? This could be the clue we need to discover Princess Zelda's whereabouts.

After leaving the Purah Pad in Mineru's care, Zelda swallows the secret stone, holding a hope for Link's future in her heart. As bright light washes over her, Zelda transforms into the Light Dragon, roaring as she ascends into the sky. Tears fall from her eyes and rain from the heavens as the Light Dragon vanishes into an expanse of clouds.

I see... So the Dragon's Tears were shed by Princess Zelda when she transformed. And the geoglyphs were drawn by an ancient people who touched those memories and saw visions, as you did. Perhaps in the past they were more attuned to that sort of thing than the people of today.

Link, when Princess Zelda went missing, something else happened all over Hyrule. During the Upheaval, huge pictures appeared out of nowhere, images that sprawled across fields and hills. We are calling them geoglyphs. I understand they have been found in locations across the kingdom.

Goodness! You say you had a vision? Saw mysterious figures? And then Princess Zelda?! Hmm... The geoglyphs, the literature, the Dragon's Tears...and now, a vision of the lost princess. What if these are all connected? Let us continue to examine the geoglyphs. They may contain further clues that lead to Princess Zelda.

Link, if you happen to see a geoglyph during your travels, I urge you to investigate this matter as well. If more strange visions are waiting at the other geoglyphs, just like the one you already experienced, well... Perhaps they will provide us clues that could lead us to Princess Zelda.

Inside the Forgotten Temple is a map of Hyrule and 11 murals related to the geoglyphs. It seems that these geoglyphs appeared in various places after the Upheaval when Princess Zelda went missing.

You have 10 geoglyphs left to investigate. - ↑
You visited all 11 geoglyphs and witnessed all the memories in the Dragon's Tears. Afterward, a Light Dragon appeared above you and shed a new tear.

This tear seems to have fallen on the Rist Peninsula in the Akkala region.
