Dragonbone Boko Shields are Boko Shields that have been upgraded and reinforced with fossilized bone.[1] They belong to the Bokoblin Gear equipment archetype, a series of Weapons created and maintained by Bokoblins.[3] Though they provide a respectable defense, the poor craftsmanship used to make them leaves them with low Durability.[1] They are used by Black Bokoblin, Silver Bokoblin, and Golden Bokoblin. High-tier Moblins also make use of these Shields.

As they are made of wood, Dragonbone Boko Shields will burn if exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate. They will float if they are dropped in Water, and unlike metal Shields, they will not attract Lightning during Thunderstorms or conduct Electricity. Finally, they cannot be picked up using the Magnesis Rune.

If scanned with the amiibo Rune, the Breath of the Wild Series Bokoblin amiibo has a chance to spawn a Treasure Chest containing a Dragonbone Boko Shield.
