"EX Strange Mask Rumors" is a Side Quest in Breath of the Wild.[1] It is exclusive to The Master Trials DLC Pack.
Overview
This Side Quest is obtained upon leaving the Great Plateau and loading the overworld of Hyrule Kingdom, which can be done by Warping, reloading a save file, dying, or leaving an Ancient Shrine. When the Side Quest is activated, Link will be tasked with finding a copy of the Super Rumor Mill EX, which can be found at Woodland Stable.[2][note 1]
Inside Woodland Stable, the Super Rumor Mill V3 can be found on a table. In the Book, Traysi discusses rumors of the Korok Mask.[3] She reports on a rumor that it is inhabited by a spirit,[4] and it to shakes when it is worn and friends are hidden nearby.[5] The Korok Mask is rumored to be in a Treasure Chest hidden a Tree hollow in forest that causes people to become lost.[6]
The Treasure Chest can be found in the Lost Woods south of a pair of Torches. It is inside the mouth of an Ogre Tree. Once the Korok Mask has been retrieved, the Side Quest will be completed.[7]
