East Ruins
The East Ruins are a location in Echoes of Wisdom.[1]
Features and Overview
The East Ruins are situated east of Scrubton in the Faron Wetlands. Its entrance is flanked by Statues of Deku Scrubs, and its interior chamber features five thin pathways stretching over an abyss. The easternmost pathway is broken while all except the center also have Cracked Floor Tiles that will break away if Princess Zelda stands on them. At the end of each pathway is an Armos, although the one at the end of the central pathway is inactive and will not awaken if Zelda approaches it. The second Armos from the left hides a Ladder which leads upward further into the Ruins. Two Blue Rupees, a Green Rupee, and a Red Rupee line the pathways, with the pathway upward having no Rupees to speak of.
By following the Ladder, Zelda can reach a side-scrolling chamber with a Stone Wall. A Red Rupee sits atop a ledge immediately above the Ladder where Zelda enters the room. To the east, the Stone Wall branches to a blocked doorway on the upper level and a ramp that leads downward to a series of Ladders. These Ladders lead around to the upper level, where a Shock Switch sits. If activated, the Shock Switch will open the doorway, creating a shortcut. A nearby Ladder also leads to the third floor, where a Darknut Lv. 3 waits.
