East Wind is a recurring General Store in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]

Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

East Wind is a General Store located in Hateno Village.[3] The Store is run by Pruce and Ivee. Pruce sells goods inside the Store,[4] while Ivee stands outside sweeping and calling people inside.[5][6][7] Three Beds can be found on the second floor, which is where Ivee, Amira, and Azu sleep at night. Ivee's Diary also rests on a table by the side of her Bed. Celessa, a Hylian traveler, stops at East Wind while visiting Hateno Village.

The produce sold by East Wind is supplied by the farmers of Hateno Village.[8][9] Pruce himself makes the Store's Arrows and Bomb Arrows.[10]

As Link enters East Wind, he will be welcomed by Pruce.[11] However, when Link first visits the General Store, Pruce will be turned away from the shop desk.[12] If Link approaches him, he will be shocked, apologizing for not hearing him come in.[13] Pruce then asks if his stock is where he left it.[14] On subsequent visits, Pruce will greet Link and ask what he needs.[15] At the end of their conversations, Pruce tells Link to come back in the future.[16]

To make a purchase from East Wind, Link must select one of the Items laid out in the Store.[17] Whenever Link buys Items from East Wind, Pruce will be excited and thank him.[18][19][20][21] If Link buys the entire stock of one Item, Pruce will compliment his choices, even remarking on how many Rupees he seems to have.[22][23][24]
