Properties |
Eightfold Longblades are two-handed Weapons passed down through the Sheikah tribe.[1] This makes them part of the Sheikah Gear equipment archetype, which includes all Weapons created by the Sheikah.[3] They have a sharp edge that makes them ideal for slicing.[1] They are commonly found in West Necluda and the Lanayru Great Spring, particularly around Kakariko Village. They also have a chance to appear in Treasure Chests spawned after scanning the Super Smash Bros. Series Sheik amiibo with the amiibo Rune.
Like the Yiga Clan-made Windcleaver, the Eightfold Longblade has a charged attack distinct from other two-handed Weapons. Rather than spinning, Link will draw the Longblade back before slashing forwards with considerable speed, knocking large Enemies over and sending smaller ones flying.
Since they are made of metal, Eightfold Longblades will attract Lightning when equipped during Thunderstorms and conduct Electricity. They can also be picked up using the Magnesis Rune on the Sheikah Slate, and they will sink if dropped in Water. Finally, they will not burn if they are exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate.
