Eldin Spring is a location in Twilight Princess.[1] It is situated in the front entrance of Kakariko Village. It is inhabited by the third Light Spirit, Eldin, the protector of the Eldin Province.

Features and Overview

When Link as a wolf first arrives in Kakariko Village, Eldin will beckon him to the Spring and ask him to defeat the Shadow Insects in the area to obtain the Tears of Light from them and thus restore light to the Eldin Province. After Eldin recovers its powers, the Spirit of Light will instruct Link to head to Death Mountain and retrieve the Fused Shadow from the Goron Mines.[2]

Like the rest of the Spirit Springs, Link can walk into the spring to have his health slowly recovered merely by stepping into its water. In the Cave of Ordeals, when Link reaches the 30th floor, the Great Fairy will reward the young hero by releasing recovery Fairies into the Eldin Spring.[1] Reaching the last floor of the cave will allow Link to talk to the Great Fairy at the spring and receive unlimited Great Fairy's Tears, provided that he does not already have a Bottle full of them.[3]

By bombing rocks near the spring, Link can enter a small cave that leads to the back portion of the Eldin Spring. The young hero can then use the Iron Boots to dive to the bottom and open a Treasure Chest containing a Piece of Heart.
