The Eternal Forest is located at the western base of Mount Hylia, northwest of Hyrule Castle.

As part of the Main Quest "The Prime Energy and Null", Princess Zelda must adorn six pedestals within the Forest with Echoes of an Ancient Orb. Upon completing this task, the way forward to the Deku Tree will open.

During "The Prime Energy and Null"

↑ The Lynel will only appear if Princess Zelda follows the hoof print tracks that originate south of the Waypoint inside the Forest. These tracks lead around the Forest to a clearing east of the Waypoint. The Lynel will not appear if Zelda fails to follow the tracks.
