False Wall
False Walls are recurring Objects in The Legend of Zelda series.(OoT3D)[1] False Walls go unnamed in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.
Location and Uses
Ocarina of Time
False Walls are illusory walls that hide rooms and pathways, created through the ill will of Spirits.[2][citation needed] The Lens of Truth allows Link to see through False Walls,[3] though as they are only illusions, they can be passed through regardless. There are several kinds of False Wall that Link may encounter. False Walls resembling walls of bricks appear in the Bottom of the Well. In the Shadow Temple, walls with Skulls embedded in them act as False Walls. These False Walls can be identified by their glowing eyes, though fake False Walls with glowing eyes also appear within the Dungeon. The true False Walls can be discerned by their more vivid blue glow, as the fakes do not glow as colorfully.[note 1] False Walls depicting a fanged creature with its hands resting below its face can also be found in the Shadow Temple. A False Wall appears at the end of the Light Barrier section of Ganon's Castle, where it obstructs Rauru. A brick-patterned False Wall leading to a room with Fairies and Business Scrubs can also be found underneath the bridge inside Ganon's Castle.
A similar phenomenon happens with a wall of flowing magma in the southeastern corner of the northeastern room of Dodongo's Cavern's 1F. Link is able to safely pass through it similarly to a False Wall, though the Lens of Truth does not reveal the small chamber behind it.
