The Wind Waker

A variety of Firefly known as the Forest Firefly was once used to create colored Pictographs, though this practice has long been abandoned according to Lenzo.[8]

Skyward Sword

Starry Fireflies are used by residents of Skyloft to Upgrade their Potions.

Breath of the Wild

Main article: Sunset Firefly

Sunset Fireflies can be found throughout Hyrule at nighttime, where they have a reputation for increasing Stealth.

Tears of the Kingdom

Main articles: Deep Firefly and Sunset Firefly

Two varieties of Firefly appear in Tears of the Kingdom: Deep Fireflies and Sunset Fireflies. Deep Fireflies are found in the Depths, where they emit a Glow that can be transferred to Elixirs when used as Ingredients. Sunset Fireflies can similarly be used as Ingredients to boost Stealth.
