"Fireproof Lizard Roundup" is a Side Quest in Breath of the Wild.[1]
Overview
At the Southern Mine, Link can encounter Kima, who remarks that he showed up at the right time.[2] Kima goes on to explain that he just returned from Goron City, but he forgot to pick up souvenirs.[3] Now, he is scouring the Southern Mine for Fireproof Lizards, though he is having difficulty catching them due to fast they are.[4] If Link can catch him 10 Fireproof Lizards, Kima promises to give him some Fireproof Armor.[5] When Link accepts, Kima thanks him and suggests searching the area around them.[6] This begins the Side Quest
Fireproof Lizards are plentiful in the Southern Mine. They can be found basking on their own or by lifting up rocks. The Sheikah Sensor can also help Link locate nearby Fireproof Lizards. After gathering all 10 Fireproof Lizards, Link can return to Kima.[7] Honoring his deal, he gives Link Fireproof Armor in exchange for the Lizards.[8][9]
Kima notices that Link seems disappointed.[10] When he realizes that Link wanted his Flamebreaker Helm, he says it is too expensive to lend out and he should buy his own in Goron City.[11] He gives Link directions, guiding him north on the trail.[12] Kima then states it is always handy to have spare souvenirs.[13]
From there on, Kima will offer to pay 20 Rupees every time Link brings him three Fireproof Lizards.[14] He expresses a desire to use them to make Fireproof Elixirs.[15] Once he is done talking, the Side Quest will be completed.
