The Floria Falls are a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]

Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

The Floria Falls are located in West Necluda.[note 1] They are a series of 10 multi-tiered Waterfalls that flow south into Lake Floria.[5] The Waterfalls originate from Corta Lake, Riola Spring, and Rodai Lake. Shoda Sah Shrine is hidden in a cave behind the Waterfall that flows directly from Riola Spring. Several Zonai Ruins are also scattered amongst the Falls.

As part of the "EX Treasure: Dark Armor" Side Quest, which is exclusive to The Champions' Ballad Downloadable Content Pack, Link reads Misko's EX Journal 2 and learns that a piece of the Phantom Ganon Set can be found "at the highest of three waterfalls north of Lake Floria."[6] Following these directions, Link can find a metallic EX Treasure Chest beneath the Waterfall that flows south from Corta Lake, from which he can recover the Phantom Ganon Skull.[7]

After emerging from Riola Spring, Farosh will fly alongside the Floria Falls as it descends towards Lake Floria. It follows the same path on its way back up towards the Spring. When this happens, strong Winds and Updrafts will appear around the Floria Falls.

A large number of Treasure Chests are situated among the Floria Falls. In total, they contain one Soldier's Broadsword, one Double Axe, one Soldier's Bow, 10 Ice Arrows, one Amber, three Opals, and two Purple Rupees. In addition to this, during Master Mode, several more Treasure Chests can be found on wooden platforms held in the air by Sky Octoroks. These Chests contain one Giant Boomerang, one Great Thunderblade, one Forest Dweller's Bow, one Forest Dweller's Shield, and one Sapphire.

In total, three Korok Seed Puzzles can be found in and around the Floria Falls. The first is a Cube Pattern on either side of the Waterfall flowing south from Corta Lake. The second is a Natural Hiding Spot, which takes the form of a Rock on a ledge between the two Waterfalls from Rodai Lake. The last Puzzle is a Flower Trail among the Zonai Ruins at the center of the Falls. Whenever Link solves one of these Puzzles, a Korok will appear and give him a Korok Seed.[8]

Notes

  1. In Creating a Champion, the Floria Falls are shown on a map to be part of the Faron Region.[3] However, this contradicts the game's file data for the location, which considers it to be part of West Necluda.[4] Therefore, this is not considered Canon.
