Forest Octoroks are a type of Octorok that have adapted to live in forests.[4] They hide underground and disguise themselves as shrubbery, jumping out if a person wanders close enough.[4] If a Forest Octorok spots Link, it will spit rocks at him from afar. These can be deflected by a performing a Perfect Guard, which defeats the Forest Octorok in the process. If their shrubbery is cut, Forest Octoroks will pop out of the ground in confusion, leaving themselves open for an attack.
