This article is about the Area in Tri Force Heroes. For similar locations, see Fortress (Disambiguation).

The Fortress is the fifth Area in Tri Force Heroes.[1]

Features and Overview

The Fortress contains four Levels, and can be accessed through the Level Selection screen once all three of the Links step onto the Triforce Gateway in one of the lobbies of Hytopia Castle.[note 1] The Area will be accessible if all four of the prior Areas have been cleared.[note 2]

The massive Fortress is heavily guarded by a variety of Lady Maud's Soldiers. The Links enter at its base and proceed to scale it upwards toward Lady Maud's parlour, meeting with a variety of complex, mechanical obstacles along the way, which will require a great deal of cooperation and communication amongst the heroes.

The Fortress's Mini-Bosses, fought in the Bomb Storage Level, are the three Hinox Brothers. Its Bosses, fought in The Lady's Lair, are the three Lady's Pets, which are variants of the previously-battled Margoma, Moldorm, and Arrghus. After defeating them for the first time, Link finds the Lady's Collar inside a Treasure Chest. If all prior Areas have also been completed, then the following two Areas—The Dunes and The Ruins—are then unlocked.

Notes

  1. Prior to the closure of Nintendo 3DS multiplayer servers, opting to meet with random "unknown heroes" online would require the player to select an Area before they are connected to other players.
  2. Players who have not unlocked the Fortress can still access the Area by selecting "I can't decide!" while another player selects the Fortress, or by having the Fortress win the roulette to decide amongst the players' Area selections.
