Description
A magical sword forged in the frigid mountains of the Hebra region. When the blade glows blue, enemies struck by it will become frozen.
Common Locations
Gerudo Highlands
Hyrule Field
Properties
Atk 20

Frostblade are magical swords that were forged in the Hebra Mountains.[1] They belong to the Magic Gear equipment archetype, which is a series of Weapons with elemental properties.[2] Enemies struck by their blade while they are glowing blue will be frozen.[1] Equipping a Frostblade will lower Link's temperature by the equivalent of one level of Heat Resistance, but they are ineffective against Fire or Scorching Climates. Frostblades can commonly be found in the Gerudo Highlands and Hyrule Field. Frostblades will one-shot Fire elemental Enemies, such as Fire-Breath Lizalfos and Fire Wizzrobes.[3]

Being made of metal, Frostblades can attract Lightning when equipped during a Thunderstorm and conduct Electricity. They sink if they are dropped in Water, but they can also be picked up using the Sheikah Slate's Magnesis Rune. If they are exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate, they will not burn like wooden Weapons do.
