Gaddison is a recurring character in The Legend of Zelda series.[2][3]
Biography
Breath of the Wild
Gaddison is a Zora guard for Zora's Domain who can be found guarding the eastern bridge, wielding a Zora Spear. In her youth, Gaddison was part of the Big Bad Bazz Brigade with Bazz and Rivan.[1] Before the Great Calamity, Link would play with her and her friends.[4]
When Link first approaches Gaddison, she reports that the east gate to Zora's Domain is clear.[5] However, she quickly recognizes Link, calling him a sight for sore eyes.[6] She realizes that Link must be the Hylian that Sidon brought to the Domain.[7]
However, Gaddison notes that Link has not changed at all in 100 years,[8] but she dismisses it as she does not have time to chat.[9] She is supposed to watching the East Reservoir Lake as part of her job, but she asserts that she can talk to Link later.[10]
Once Link has calmed Divine Beast Vah Ruta, Gaddison notices the clear sky wonders whether Sidon managed to stop the Divine Beast.[11] She is still wary of the water level of the Reservoir, even after Ruta has stopped spouting water.[12] She shares some of the history of Divine Beast Vah Ruta, such as Mipha being its 100 years ago, and wonders if Seggin managed to fire Shock Arrows at it.[13]
Gaddison is seen in the crowd of Zora in the Throne Room who watch as King Dorephan praises Link. She is grateful for all that Link has done,[14] as she can return to her work and Zora's Domain can receive tourists again.[15][16]
During the "From the Ground Up" Side Quest, Link can ask Gaddison about her name.[17] When Link tells her that is looking for someone like her, she asks what he needs.[18] However, since he is looking for someone who can act as a priest,[19] Gaddison will refuse him.[20] She considers herself a blood-stained soldier who could never be a priest,[21] but says that Kapson could help him.[22]
After Kapson has left, Gaddison will inform Link that he departed for Akkala.[23] She suggests a shortcut to Akkala to Link, telling him to climb the Waterfalls of Mikau Lake and Lulu Lake.[24] However, she is concerned for Kapson to be crossing the mountains at his age, though his good health puts her at ease.[25]

- Gaddison is one of several characters in Breath of the Wild that will hit Link back if he attacks them with a Weapon.[26][27][28] These attacks deal no damage.
