Game Developers Choice Awards
The Game Developers Choice Awards, formerly known as the Spotlight Awards, are an annual video game awards show.[1]
Overview
The Game Developers Choice Awards are held annually as part of the Game Developers Conference.[1] A progenitor of the show known as the Spotlight Awards ran from 1997 to 1999, before being replaced by the modern awards in 2001.[2] Nominations and winners are decided by the International Choice Awards Network, a group consisting of leading figures in the game development industry.[3] The event judges all games released in the previous year.
