Gloom Resistance is an Added Effect in Tears of the Kingdom.

Overview

Gloom Resistance is an Added Effect that provides Link with fake, teal Hearts that take Gloom damage before the Heart Containers in his Life Gauge do. These fake Hearts automatically heal over time when Link is safe from Gloom, even in the Depths. They only protect Link from the Gloom found in the environment or damage dealt by Gloom Spawn, not from Enemy attacks that deal Gloom damage on hit. When the Effect is first applied or when loading a save with the Effect active, the fake Hearts will start out damaged before healing as normal. This Effect's potency is capped at level three, but an additional fake Heart can be obtained from the Gloom Attack Resist Set Bonus.
