Golden Ants are Items in Twilight Princess.[1]

Location and Uses

The two Golden Ants—one male and one female—are one of the twelve pairs of Golden Bugs found throughout Hyrule. The male Golden Ant can be found under the Tree next to the entrance to King Zora's tomb in the Kakariko Village Graveyard. The female Golden Ant is located inside an abandoned house in Kakariko Village, across from the Elde Inn.

The Golden Ants can be given to Agitha in exchange for Rupees (50 for the first, 100 for the second) or, depending on the total number of Golden Bugs given, the Big Wallet, the Giant Wallet, or Agitha's Miiverse Stamp in Twilight Princess HD. After being collected, a Golden Ant will reappear in its original spot; if collected a second time, it will drop a Heart as Link lets it go.[2]

It is said that Golden Ants live next to Hylian homes where they can find food. Females tend to be larger, while males have wings.[1]
