Grapp is a recurring character in The Legend of Zelda series.[3][4]
Biography
Breath of the Wild
Grapp is an elderly Goron who is found at the Goron Hot Springs sitting in one of its pools. He dislikes being disturbed while taking he is taking his bath.[5] His grandson Dugby competes with him to see who can stay in the Hot Springs the longest.[2] Grapp expresses that he feels the water there is only lukewarm and would like to bathe in much hotter water, but is unable to due to the Magma Bombs ahead.[6]
Grapp warns Link to stay away from the Bridge of Eldin, as the area past that point is incredibly hot.[7] However, he also admits that the Bridge is inaccessible anyway as Bludo lowered it to prevent the Divine Beast Vah Rudania's advance.[8]
If Link is wearing at least two pieces of Armor from the Fireproof Armor, Grapp will be impressed with him.[9] However, he warns him to stay away from Vah Rudania regardless.[10] After Link has completed the "Divine Beast Vah Rudania" Main Quest, Grapp will encourage him to spend as much time in Hot Spring as he would like.[11]
