Properties
Atk 30

Great Frostblades are a Weapon forged with ore found in the permafrost of the Hebra Mountains.[1] As a result, this is where they are commonly found, as well as in Hyrule Field. Their elemental nature is a hallmark of the Magic Gear equipment archetype, to which Great Frostblades belong.[2] They are especially common around Hyrule Castle.

When Great Frostblades glow blue, they have the ability to freeze any Enemies that they are used against. They can also be equipped in cold areas to give Link one level of Heat Resistance. When they are used to attack Fire-related Enemies, such as Fire-Breath Lizalfos and Fire Wizzrobes, they will be defeated in a single swing.[3]

Great Frostblades are made of metal, which means they will attract Lightning when they are equipped during a Thunderstorm and conduct Electricity. They are also unable to be burned by Fire or in a Scorching Climate, but they will sink if they are dropped in Water. To rectify this, they can be picked up and manipulated using the Magnesis Rune on the Sheikah Slate.
