Hero's Tunic
The Hero's Tunic is an Item in Tri Force Heroes.[1]
Location and Uses
The Hero's Tunic is an Outfit that is visually identical to the Hero's Clothes of The Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks, which are in turn based on the iconic green tunic worn by Link throughout the majority of his adventures. The Outfit does not grant Link any special abilities, though it provides better protection than his default Outfit, the Bear Minimum.[2][3]
When Link enters Hytopia Castle for the first time, he is met by Sir Combsly, who enlists him into the Witch-Hunting Brigade and supplies him with a Hytopian Silk, which can be used to craft the Hero's Tunic at Madame Couture's.[4] If Link proceeds to any of the lobbies to journey to the Drablands in his default Outfit, Sir Combsly will warn him and insist that he purchase the Hero's Tunic for his own protection.[5] Once Link has completed the Woodlands Area by defeating Margoma, he will be summoned to King Tuft's throne room; at this point, Sir Combsly will not allow Link to proceed or continue his adventure without a Hero's Tunic.[6][7]
Once the Links have gathered and each is assigned a different color, the cap of the Hero's Tunic gains a yellow brim, which visually separates each Link's cap from his newly-colored hair.
