High Ground
The High Ground is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][name references needed]
Features and Overview
Breath of the Wild
The High Ground is a cliff located behind the Village Chief's House in Hateno Village. It is the site of the Village's Ancient Furnace. It also houses many of the Village's crop fields, as well as the Scarecrows that guard them. During the day, Reede tends to one of these fields. After Link has spoken with Kilton for the first time, the Fang and Bone will start to appear on the High Ground during the night.[2]
During the "Locked Mementos" Main Quest, Purah will send Link to the High Ground to retrieve the Blue Flame from the Ancient Furnace.[3] After igniting a flammable Weapon with the Blue Flame, Link can light the Blue Flame Pedestals found around the High Ground.
One Korok Seed Puzzle can be found on the High Ground. It is a Natural Hiding Spot, taking the form of a Rock in the large Tree next to Zelkoa Pond. If Link lifts this Rock, a Korok will appear. As a reward for finding it, it gives Link a Korok Seed.[4]
