The History of the Zora, Part Six,[1] entitled Divine Beast Vah Ruta,[1] is an Object in Breath of the Wild.

Location and Uses

The History of the Zora, Part Six is a Stone Monument at the far eastern end of Ruto Mountain, being located towards Rutala Dam. Link must read it as part of the Side Quest "Zora Stone Monuments".[2]

The story of Divine Beast Vah Ruta is inscribed on this Stone Monument.[1] When Vah Ruta was first unearthed, Mipha rushed to view it.[3] Those who saw her that day saw a sparkle of excitement in her eyes, as opposed to her usual calm demeanor.[4] When Mipha spoke to Vah Ruta, it was as though they were friends, and she was excited when she was chosen to pilot the Divine Beast.[5] King Dorephan later regretted this following the Great Calamity.[6] He has been consumed by guilt, and he prays every day for Mipha's soul to know peace.[7]

History of the Zora, Part Six
Divine Beast Vah Ruta
As told by King Dorephan

When the Divine Beast Vah Ruta was first discovered in Zora's Domain, my daughter Mipha hurried to see it.

Those present that day say they saw an unusual sparkle of excitement in Mipha's normally calm eyes as she beheld Ruta.

The princess spoke of the Divine Beast as she would a friend and was overjoyed when she was chosen to pilot Ruta.

I thought nothing of it at the time, but given the events that followed, I now regret allowing this to happen.

I have spent many long years consumed by guilt. My dearest wish is that her soul will know peace. I pray for it every day.
