The Hole of "L" is a location in Ocarina of Time.[1]
Features and Overview
The entrance to the Hole of "L" is located within the Forest Training Center, near the House of the Know-It-All Bros.. It is a Small Hole in the forest boundary that Link may crawl through, and leads to a small maze containing a Boulder. If Link makes his way past the rolling Boulder and to the end of the area, he will find the Kokiri Sword inside a Treasure Chest atop a tree stump.
Mido requires that Link possess the Kokiri Sword and Deku Shield to enter the Great Deku Tree's Meadow,[2] so entering the Hole of "L" is necessary to begin Link's quest.

"L" is a reference to L-Targeting, as the Hole of "L" serves as a tutorial for that function. The same applies with "Z" and Z-Targeting.
