Honeyvore Bears are powerful animals that inhabit the wildernesses of Hyrule Kingdom during the Era of the Wilds. They can be found in areas throughout Hyrule Kingdom, but are particularly common in the Akkala Highlands and the Tabantha Frontier. Honeyvore Bears have primarily brown fur, with golden-brown muzzles. They are known to have a strong taste for Courser Bee Honey.[3]
Honeyvore Bears are highly territorial animals, and will attack anyone who crosses into their territories.[3][4] However, they can also be ridden and tamed like a Horse if Link uses Stealth to sneak up on them.[3][5] If Link rides a Honeyvore Bear to a Stable, though, the owner will refuse to register it.[6] Bokoblins can also be found riding Honeyvore Bears in certain locations, such as in the Gerudo Highlands. When killed, they drop Raw Meat and Raw Prime Meat.

This king among animals is dangerous game for even the most seasoned hunters. They'll attack anyone who wanders into their territory regardless of the wanderer's weaponry. As their name implies, they have a natural love of honey. Extreme caution is advised when you spot one, but if you're sneaky enough and maybe just a little bit crazy... you just may be able to ride one.

Not a problem. Let me just— Oh, for the love of Hylia... That's not a horse! We only board horses here, stranger. No exceptions.
