Overview

A Link to the Past

In A Link to the Past, Link can perform a Normal Sword Blow by pressing the B Button.[3] He uses his left hand to swing his Sword in an arc in front of him from right to left.[11]

Link's Awakening

In Link's Awakening, by equipping his Sword and pressing the assigned Button, Link can perform a Normal Sword Blow, slashing what is in front of him. In Link's Awakening for Nintendo Switch, Link no longer needs to equip his Sword in order to use it as it is always equipped by default.

Link can use Normal Sword Blows to attack Enemies or activate Crystal Switches.[12] He can also use it to cut down Grass or clear obstacles like Bushes or Crystals.[12]

In Skyward Sword, Link can execute a Side Slash by swinging his Sword horizontally.[1]
