Horon Lagoon is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]

Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

Horon Lagoon is located in the Lanayru Sea. It is bordered by Brynna Plain to the west and Lodrum Headland and Talus Plateau to the east. Many rocky outcroppings can be found throughout the Water of the Lagoon, three of which are particularly large. The northernmost outcropping bears a Pedestal. The central outcropping contains many bombable walls, as well as small tidepool with Crabs and Luminous Stone Deposits. On Horon Lagoon's eastern beach, there is an abandoned campsite.

Horon Lagoon is the subject of an "Ancient Song," which prompts Kass to travel to the area.[3] Link can find Kass on the Lagoon's western shore. When spoken to, Kass will offer to play the "Ancient Song" associated with Horon Lagoon for him,[4] which describes breaking the bombable walls in order to glide onto the Pedestal.[5] Listening to it begins the "Master of the Wind" Shrine Quest. When Link destroys the bombable walls on the Lagoon's central outcropping, Wind will begin to flow through it towards the northern outcropping. If he uses the Paraglider to ride the Wind and land on the Pedestal, Shai Yota Shrine will emerge from the ground nearby.[6]

One Treasure Chest is located on Horon Lagoon. It is made of metal, and it is submerged in one of the tidepools in the southernmost outcropping. Link can pull it to the surface using the Magnesis Rune, and when he opens it, he will receive a Ruby.

There is a single Korok Seed Puzzle on Horon Lagoon. To the east of the central outcropping, Link will find a stone Circle. On top of the outcropping, there are several Rocks that must be thrown into the Circle. When this is successfully done, a Korok will appear and give Link a Korok Seed.[7]
