Hot-Footed Frogs are a type of Frog that can be located near bodies of Water, either Swimming or hopping along the bank.[1] Link can Crouch to sneak up and catch them, or alternatively, he can quickly Spring to capture them before they startle and disappear. Otherwise, Hot-Footed Frogs will run away once they spot him. They can be Cooked alongside Monster Parts to create Hasty Elixirs.[1] The Kochi Dye Shop also accepts them as an ingredient for Green Dye.

A Hot-Footed Frog appears in the ninth Recovered Memory, "Silent Princess", wherein Zelda captures one to show Link.[4] She excitedly shares that it is a delicacy known to have potent effects.[5] She then states that Hyrule Castle's research shows that eating one can enhance certain abilities, going on to add that while they are not in a controlled environment, Link's high level of physical fitness would make him perfect for the study.[6] She presses him to taste it,[7] to which Link reacts poorly.
