House of Books is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.(ALttP | ALttP (Ishinomori))[1][2]

A Link to the Past

The House of Books is located in the Kakariko Village Area due south of Kakariko Village. The Book of Mudora can be found on the top of a Bookcase, and can be knocked down by Dashing into it with the Pegasus Shoes.

When Link returns to Kakariko Village to find clues about the remaining two Pendants of Virtue in the A Link to the Past comic by Shotaro Ishinomori,[3] he finds the House of Books has been set on fire by Agahnim's Soldiers.[2] Link learns that the Librarian, who he must speak to according to Sahasrahla,[4] is trapped inside the flames.[5] Link then pours a bucket of water on him and barges in to successfully save the Librarian, who eventually gives him the Book of Mudora, which they managed to save from the flames.
