The Wind Waker

In The Wind Waker, the Hurricane Spin can be learned from Orca after obtaining 10 Knight's Crests.[8] The Hurricane Spin is used by charging up a normal Spin Attack, which drains a portion of the Magic Meter.[2]

Four Swords Adventures

The Hurricane Spinning Attack in Four Swords Adventures is obtained after powering up the Four Sword with 2,000 Force Gems. The power up lasts for only the current stage.

Trivia

  • In Oracle of Ages, a similar move is performed by Ralph in the end credits.[11]
  • A similar attack is used by two Bosses in The Legend of Zelda series: Zant from Twilight Princess and Stalblind from A Link Between Worlds. Zant uses a similar attack during the final phase of his fight, where he randomly alternates between this attack and his double vertical slice attacks.[12] Stalblind uses the attack during the second phase of the fight. He charges up the attack and then spins for about 5 seconds before becoming dizzy, allowing Link to attack him.[13]
