The Hyrule Castle Gate is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.(BotWBreath of the Wild)[1] The Hyrule Castle Gate goes unnamed in Tears of the Kingdom and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.

Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

The Hyrule Castle Gate divides Hyrule Castle from the Hyrule Castle Town Ruins. It features a bridge that spans that Hyrule Castle Moat. The metallic doors on the Gate can be moved with Magnesis or by hitting them while they are under the effect of Stasis. The Hyrule Castle Courtyard begins past the Gate.

Three Korok Seed Puzzles are located on and near the Hyrule Castle Gate. One can be found on top of the Gate by picking up a Natural Hiding Spot. A second can be found by shooting the jar hanging underneath the bridge by using Archery. The third and final one can be found by following the Flower Trail that starts underneath the bridge. When Link discovers these Koroks, they will give him a Korok Seed.[2]

As in Breath of the Wild, the Hyrule Castle Gate is located between Hyrule Castle and the Hyrule Castle Town Ruins in Hyrule Field. Before Link reports the news of Zelda's sighting at Hyrule Castle to Purah, Raseno stands stationed at the north end of the Gate.[3] Oliff later takes up a position on the south end of the Gate after Raseno leaves.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity

The Hyrule Castle Gate is part of the Hyrule Castle Stage.

During the Movie "Duty", Zelda and Link attempt to escape Hyrule Castle through its Gate, but they are stopped when a Guardian spots them and begins to attack.[4] However, they are saved by King Rhoam, who ambushes the Guardian.[4] Link starts to run to his aid, but King Rhoam reminds him of his responsibility as Zelda's knight.[4][5] As a result, Link takes Zelda's hand and drags her through the Hyrule Castle Gate despite her protests.[6]
