Biography

Breath of the Wild

Jengo is a Goron miner who works for the Goron Group Mining Company at the Southern Mine in the Eldin Canyon. During the day, Jengo mines alongside Dorill and Greyson for Gems. At night, Jengo takes his break next to the Cooking Pot while Bohrin works the night shift.[4]

Jengo is focused on his work, so much so that he is startled when Link approaches him during this time.[5] He prefers not to be disturbed until he is on his break.[6][7] If Link keeps speaking to him, he informs him that it is not yet time for his break.[8] When he is finished with work for the day, Jengo asks that Link wait until he sits down before they talk.[9]

During Jengo's break, Link is able to ask him questions.[10][11] Should Link ask about Jengo, he will introduce himself himself.[12] He explains that because he and the other Gorons are digging up Gems, Goron City is able to prosper.[13]

If Link asks about their location, Jengo explains that they are at the Southern Mine.[14] If Divine Beast Vah Rudania has not been calmed, Jengo shares that the Goron Group Mining Company used to mine at the Death Mountain Summit before the Divine Beast appeared, forcing them to move to the Southern Mine.[15] He tells Link to speak with Bludo, the boss of the Gorons, for more information.[16] After the Divine Beast has been calmed, Jengo excitedly reveals that Bludo has instructed them to start mining again.[17]
