Biography

Breath of the Wild

Kapson is an elderly Zora and a retired priest of Hylia.[4][5] He can initially be found inside the Sleeping Chamber in Zora's Domain.[6]

When Link first speaks to Kapson, he will be happy to see a traveler and begin to welcome him to Zora's Domain.[7] He recognizes Link after a moment, at which point he expresses anger at him for the death of Mipha during the Great Calamity.[8] He informs Link that many of the elderly Zora still remember Mipha, and as a result, they hate him for what happened to her.[9] However, Kapson claims to hate Link's actions, not Link himself, and he believes that Link can be forgiven.[10]

Kapson informs Link that he has retired from his role as a priest.[5] Ever since his retirement, Kapson has found that his life has become boring.[11] He worries that he will soon pass away.[12] Therefore, he asks Link to introduce him to any engaged couples he meets, as he would like to officiate one more wedding.[13]

During the "From the Ground Up" Side Quest, Hudson will ask Link to find a priest to officiate his wedding among the Zora.[14] Link can then return to Zora's Domain to inform Kapson of this opportunity.[15] Since Akkala is not far from their current location, Kapson decides to leave for Tarrey Town right away.[16] He is eager to be able to work again.[17] He invites Link to come visit him once he is settled in.[18] At this point, he then departs from Zora's Domain.

Kapson will officiate Hudson and Rhondson's wedding in Tarrey Town.[19] Once the ceremony begins, Kapson asks Hudson if he is willing to take Rhondson as his wife,[20] which Hudson agrees to.[21] Next, Kapson asks the same question of Rhondson, with the added stipulation that she name their children in accordancw with the Bolson Construction naming guidelines.[22] Rhondson objects, claiming that these are not traditional vows.[23] After being convinced, Rhondson will take the vow.[24] Kapson then asks the gathered crowd to help him greet the newly married couple.[25] He wishes them happiness as they begin their lives together.[26]

Once he arrives in Tarrey Town, Kapson will take charge of its Tarrey Town.[27][28] Kapson's Inn does not charge any Rupees for a stay and does not offer any superior bedding options, though he will wake Link up at his preferredtime of day.[29] If Link speaks to Kapson while atop any of the furniture in his Inn, he will pray to Hylia that she smites him for his insolence.[30]
