Biography

Breath of the Wild

Kheel is a Rito child who lives in Rito Village. When Link initially arrives at the Village, she can be found with her mother, Amali, on the platform near Akh Va'quot Shrine. At night, she and her sisters sleep inside their home.

When spoken to, Kheel laments that it is currently too dangerous to leave Rito Village, as she wants to sing with her sisters at Warbler's Nest.[6] Angrily, she calls Divine Beast Vah Medoh a jerk, which causes Amali to chastise her for using such language.[7][8] Kheel then tries to defend herself.[9]

After Link has appeased Divine Beast Vah Medoh, he can encounter Amali searching for Kheel.[10] She turns to Link and explains that she has been unable to locate her daughter.[11] She theorizes that she may have gone to Warbler's Nest to practice her singing.[12] However, she is worried that Kheel may not have been able to travel so far on her own.[13] Once she finishes speaking, the "Find Kheel" Side Quest will begin.

At Warbler's Nest, Link will find Kheel upset that her sisters did not come to rehearse their song for the elder, Kaneli.[14] She is afraid that they will be laughed off stage if they perform as they are.[15] Since Link is a "scary-looking" Hylian, Kheel asks him if he could return to Rito Village to remind her sisters of their rehearsal.[16] She warns that it might be tough to convince her sister Genli, as she is probably in the Kitchen yelling for Salmon Meunière or something similar.[17] She complains that Genli does not want to sing, which makes her a pain to deal with.[18] When she finishes speaking, the "Recital at Warbler's Nest" Shrine Quest will begin.

Once Link has retrieved all of Kheel's sisters, she thanks him for his help and asks if he wants to know what song they are singing.[19] According to Kaneli, the song was performed at Warbler's Nest in the ancient past.[20] Kheel explains that Warbler's Nest is the big stone platform with the pillars behind them.[21] The lyrics to the song do not make sense to her, but the line, "When wind convinces the rocks to sing, open the monk's door will swing," appeals to her.[22] Kheel asks Link what he thinks it means and wonders what a Monk is.[23]

If Link does not already have one, Kheel will give him a Korok Leaf as a reward for helping her.[24] Kheel suggests swinging the Korok Leaf in the directioin of Warbler's Nest, as doing so makes a fun noise.[25]

The order of the notes in Kheel and her sisters' song correspond to the rocks surrounding the Pedestal. When Link manages to unearth the Voo Lota Shrine, Kheel turns and shouts for her sisters to look.[26] Kheel's sister Notts says they should tell their mother about the phenomenon.[27] Kheel agrees and bids Link goodbye.[28] She counts her siblings off and they take to the sky.[29]

Back in Rito Village, Link will find Kheel singing on the platform near Akh Va'quot Shrine with her sisters.[30] She reveals that Kaneli was surprised when she told him about Voo Lota Shrine.[31] She remarks that Ancient Shrines must also like playing hide-and-seek.[32] Once Kass returns to Rito Village, he will join Kheel and the rest of his daughters by playing his bandoneon as they sing.[33] Kheel is happy that "Poppy" is back and they are all going to sing together.[2]

Tears of the Kingdom

Due to the blizzard in Rito Village, Kheel has temporarily taken over the Brazen Beak Armor Shop.[34]
