The Lanayru Promenade is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]

Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

The Lanayru Promenade is located in East Necluda. It has been left in ruins after the Great Calamity with several walkways being either flooded or destroyed. The Lanayru Road - East Gate and Lanayru Road - West Gate serve as exits for the Promenade, and Lanayru Road runs along its northern wall. The walls of the Lanayru Promenade feature large stylized carvings that depict Loftwings. These carvings are identical to the ones found in the Sky Keep from Skyward Sword and appear in smaller form on similar ruins across Hyrule. Multiple Ore Deposits can be found throughout the Promenade. A Raft can be used to navigate the Water.

After being freed from Malice, Naydra will fly through the Lanayru Promenade at 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Several Updrafts will appear around it that Link can travel with using his Paraglider.

Eleven Treasure Chests can be found in the Promenade. The total contents of these Chests are: five Bomb Arrows, ten Shock Arrows, five Fire Arrows, five Ice Arrows, a Meteor Rod, a Soldier's Broadsword, a Knight's Broadsword, two Opals, and two Purple Rupees.

Two Koroks can also be found in the Promenade. One is hiding under a Natural Hiding Spot on top of the central fountain, and the second can be revealed by diving into a Circle of lily pads in the Water. When Link finds them, they will each give him a Korok Seed.[3]

While still in ruins, the Lanayru Promenade remains relatively unchanged after the Upheaval aside from some Fallen Debris and newly exposed Cave entrances.

Three new Koroks can be found hiding around the Promenade: one in a Tree with an Acorn Jar, one beneath a Natural Hiding Spot under the large staircase, and one near another Tree at the end of a Flower Trail.

Trivia

  • During the development of Breath of the Wild, the Lanayru Promenade was known as Spider's Nest Mountain.[4]
