Lizard
Lizards are recurring Creatures in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2][3]
Characteristics
Breath of the Wild
Lizards are a type of Creature common throughout Hyrule. They typically rest on the sides of Trees, but they can also be found by lifting Rocks and cutting Grass. When Link approaches a Lizard, it will run away and eventually disappear. This can be avoided by stunning it with an Arrow or Remote Bomb. Link can also use Stealth to approach the Lizard without it noticing, or he can catch up to it after it begins to flee.
Three types of Lizards exist in Hyrule. The first is the Hightail Lizard, which is most common on the Great Plateau, in East Necluda, and in West Necluda. It can be Cooked with Monster Parts to create a Hasty Elixir.[1] The second is the Hearty Lizard, found in the Gerudo Desert and along the Necluda Sea. Hearty Lizards are considered to be rare, but they can be used as an ingredient to make a Hearty Elixir.[4] The final Lizard is the Fireproof Lizard, which inhabits the Eldin Canyon and Death Mountain. Due to the heat-resistant properties of its scales, it can be used to create a Fireproof Elixir.[5]
